Meet LEO

I finally convinced Brandon to let me get a dog!!!!!! I thought this day would never come ;)  My mom found the add in the paper and I called the breeder right away.  I scheduled a time to go look at the fluff balls on Brandon's day off so he could see how cute they were and hopefully fall in LOVE! Well long story short, he did fall in love and so did both Kinsey and I.  It was so hard to choose since there were only 4 males left and they were all so dang cute.  I didn't want the biggest one, or the smallest one, so we got the medium sized one that seemed to be the most cuddly :)

His name is Leo.  We sometimes call him Leo Man and Kinsey calls him EEE-O. He is a Bichon-Frise, and that is kinda like a poodle except they have longer tails.  When he is full grown he will be anywhere from 10-12 lbs.  He is hypoallergenic and DOESN'T shed!  He loves to be around people and other dogs and cuddle up next to any body part of you he can find and sleep haha We had a rough few nights with him since he obviously missed his mommy and brothers, so he cried at night all night! Now we are just working on teaching him to not bark while in his kennel.  I start puppy training classes next week so that should help us out a TON!  He is so good with Kinsey!  She is still learning to be soft with him and that its NOT ok to pick him up by his tail lol He has never once barked, or snipped at her though :) Those two are going to be good friends!

This is him most of the day

I love this little guy to pieces!

Decisions... Decisions.. Decisions...

I like the tones of these colors..
I LOVE this bright blue with the lime green.. and i could always add a hot pink accent to make it girly ha
I really like the gold and green..
I need help deciding on what colors to paint Kinsey's toy room!!! these are some of the color ideas i have found that i like but i am VERY open to suggestions ;)

one step closer..

Well here are the windows that i found and am so excited about!! I bought them off a younger couple that bought an old historic home in Bountiful and these came out of their basement! aren't they great?! all i did was give them some TLC with a damp cloth and windex and TA-DA, my very own vintage windows haha.. i found the flower stickers at Hobby Lobby (the coolest store.. well, besides IKEA) and i think they give the perfect finishing touches! these are in my upstairs living room and i want that place to be simple, relaxing and just comfortable.. I dont want to go all out with decorating in this area because i want that old home feel to it :) next project... Kinsey's toy room!

newest member of the Kunz family..

So along with owning our first house comes  A LOT of expenses.. one of them being a lawnmower!  Since "she" was so expensive we had to give her a name and include her as a part of the family lol.  She is a Craftsman with a Briggs and Stratton motor and is even self-propelled.  We decided to name her "Willis" lol We cant wait for the weather to warm up and take her out to "play"

P.S. My not to handy husband is actually becoming quite handy.. he put this beast together all on his own and it even starts on ONE pull!

REFRESH!

So I have made some very important decisions and feel so VERY proud of myself.. Ever since my junior year of high school i have felt rushed to grow up and be perfect, and then even more rushed my senior year when i was in college full time and only taking one class at my high school, and even working 2 jobs! that left me with no time for friends and unfortunately i lost a LOT of friends that year because i wasn't around anyone. i also got engaged my senior year and was planning a wedding and graduation at the same time! i wouldn't take back getting married at a young age for the world because i married my best friend and such an amazing person who will always support me 100 %, but i do wish i could take back a lot of other things and just enjoyed my time in high school.
today when i was driving home from school i realized that i am ONLY 21!!! why am i rushing through school to get my RN and not enjoying a second of it! i used to LOVE school and i LOVE learning new things, especially about how the human body works and now i feel like i am in a race to get done.. for what reason?!?!? I was even considering going to a private school and paying twice as much in tuition just so i could get my RN sooner.. So from today on out i am going to start enjoying school again, STOP comparing myself to others that have gotten their degree at a young age, and just have fun being a 21 year old wife and mommy ;) If it takes me 5 years to graduate, so be it! at least i will have fun learning and not be a stressed basket case 24/7.  LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT TO BE STRESSED ALL THE TIME!
I have accomplished so much in my 21 years of life so far and have a wonderful husband and BEAUTIFUL daughter to show for it!

I get to spend everyday with this happy lil girl! and i LOVE it!
she is always laughing or smiling ;)

milk, milk, and MORE milk.

just thought i would do a quick blog to update what we have been up to these few weeks..
We had Kinsey's 12 month WCC and she is very healthy, but her growth has slowed down a bit according to the growth charts.  (she is only 18 lbs!) Thank goodness she has an AMAZING dr and always knows just how to explain and make us feel like we aren't horrible parents! he basically said she is not getting enough calories and when i told him she refused to drink cows milk and i was giving all i had to still breastfeed, he said that was exactly why she is not growing at the correct rate.  so we left the dr's office with me feeling horrible and like i was starving my child :( but i was determined to get her where she is supposed to be by her 15 month check up.
since the dr visit we have finally gotten Kinsey to drink cows milk!!! it was rough at first because all she wanted was to be breastfed and her apple juice in her sippy cup. so we got the flavored "breakfast" mixes and would make strawberry and chocolate milk and she seemed to tolerate it better, thank goodness! now we are able to just poor it right into her sippy cup and she drinks it without a fuss! im so so so relieved! on the other hand.. i never thought i would be sad to quit breastfeeding! i loved every min of that time with her and even those late night feedings.. i guess you will have to experience it to know what i mean. But yes i am so SAD i no longer breastfeed! not to mention it is SOOO painful haha this may be TMI for some but it really feels like i have rocks in my chest! hopefully that goes away soon..
other than the whole milk situation around her things have been pretty good.. Brandon works 24/7 and i am busy keeping up the house and taking care of kinsey and school! I also decided this past week, I am going to redecorate my house.. i have had these decorations since brandon and i got married and its time to say bye-bye! im going for a vintage, old home look in my living room and my "vision" is so much fun haha i found a lady selling old window frames for 10 bucks!! i grabbed me some of those and cant wait to hang them on my walls! i will post pic when its all done :)
