milk, milk, and MORE milk.

just thought i would do a quick blog to update what we have been up to these few weeks..
We had Kinsey's 12 month WCC and she is very healthy, but her growth has slowed down a bit according to the growth charts.  (she is only 18 lbs!) Thank goodness she has an AMAZING dr and always knows just how to explain and make us feel like we aren't horrible parents! he basically said she is not getting enough calories and when i told him she refused to drink cows milk and i was giving all i had to still breastfeed, he said that was exactly why she is not growing at the correct rate.  so we left the dr's office with me feeling horrible and like i was starving my child :( but i was determined to get her where she is supposed to be by her 15 month check up.
since the dr visit we have finally gotten Kinsey to drink cows milk!!! it was rough at first because all she wanted was to be breastfed and her apple juice in her sippy cup. so we got the flavored "breakfast" mixes and would make strawberry and chocolate milk and she seemed to tolerate it better, thank goodness! now we are able to just poor it right into her sippy cup and she drinks it without a fuss! im so so so relieved! on the other hand.. i never thought i would be sad to quit breastfeeding! i loved every min of that time with her and even those late night feedings.. i guess you will have to experience it to know what i mean. But yes i am so SAD i no longer breastfeed! not to mention it is SOOO painful haha this may be TMI for some but it really feels like i have rocks in my chest! hopefully that goes away soon..
other than the whole milk situation around her things have been pretty good.. Brandon works 24/7 and i am busy keeping up the house and taking care of kinsey and school! I also decided this past week, I am going to redecorate my house.. i have had these decorations since brandon and i got married and its time to say bye-bye! im going for a vintage, old home look in my living room and my "vision" is so much fun haha i found a lady selling old window frames for 10 bucks!! i grabbed me some of those and cant wait to hang them on my walls! i will post pic when its all done :)
