Easter 2013

I love Easter! I love the reason why we celebrate it, and I love spending time together.  It a holiday where we aren't obligated to buy gifts for each other, but we still have the time spent as a family :) We Kunz had a very very busy Easter!! We did a total of 5 Easter egg hunts.. yea, I wasnt kidding when I said we were busy lol

Ever since we have moved to Layton, we have gone to the annual Kaysville City egg hunt.  That is always a good turn out for the girls :)

Then on Easter morning the girls hunted for the eggs the Easter bunny hid, then we went my moms to hunt for eggs and fun toys there, then off to Brandon's parents to eat and have another egg hunt, then finally to my grandma's for another egg hunt and MORE food! Busy day but we got to see everyone and that was awesome :)

Coloring eggs.. in her underwear lol :)

Harper was proud of her egg :)

Happy EASTER!! :)

We Love To HIKE!

I woke up one morning and realized what a nice day it was.. so I packed up the family to go hiking.  Brandon has never been a huge fan of it, but I knew it would be good for him :)  It was so much fun to get out into the fresh air after the winter we had, and just enjoy the time together.  I was shocked at how much Kinsey was able to walk! We went to Adam's Canyon and she probably walked a total of 2 miles, which is amazing for those little legs :).  Harper was strapped to Brandon so she got the best experience of us all!  She even fell asleep on the walk home aha!

St. Patty's Day

This year we went to the St Patrick's Day parade in Salt Lake and had so much fun! We wore green of course.. but we def felt out of place compared to some of the others lol!! Next year we will get more into it ;)  Since Brandon is now working at the Gateway, we got to go up to his store and watch the parade!

Update of Miss Harps

Miss Harper is quite the happy little thing!  She is always trying to be like her big sister and loves playing and laughing with her.  I know she looks up to Kinsey so much just by the way she follows her, tries to imitate her, and always wanting to be with her.  They get along for the most part, but sometimes I have to step in lol I dont have to worry about Kinsey picking on Harper because Harper can hold her own ;)  She is so snuggly and loving, AND very shy! If we are in a crowed area or around a lot of people she doesnt know, she will hold on tight to me and snuggle her face into my neck.  After about 20 min she begins to warm up, though! At her 15 month well child appointment, everything looked perfect! She was of course, shy and scared of the doctor! Here are here stats:
Weight: 20.9lbs 40th percentile
Height: 30 in 30th percentile
Head circumference: 43.5cm 6th percentile

She is chubs and I love it! Her little thighs are the BEST :) And her head is finally at a steady place on the charts.

*Harper LOVES her big sister, and dog Leo.  She is always giving them kisses and hugs and will squeal "HI" as soon as she sees them.
*Anytime she comes around the corner or looks threw something to see you, she yells "peek booo!"
*She runs most places! Walking must take too long lol
*Harper wants to be outside every waking moment of the day.  She will cry at the back door until you open it up to let her outside.  Thankfully our back yard is fenced!  We got the girls a sand box, golf set, swimming pool, and other outside toys that she just loves to play with.
*Her schedule is about the same.  She wakes up between 730 and 8, takes a nap from 1-3, and is in bed by 8pm.  If she is really tired, she will go to her room and reach for you to put her in her crib!
*Harper eats just about everything, and anything! She often eats more than her sister.. :)
*Lately she has needed a lot of attention from mommy.  She will grab a blanket and tell me "up!" and point to her room.  After many guessing days, I finally discovered she likes me to hold her like a baby and rock with her in her rocking chair.  I love this special time with her :)
*Her vocabulary is growing so much!  She can imitate just about anything I ask her too.
*She can also point out head/hair, nose, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, and feet!
*This morning she was running from Brandon and turned around and stuck her tongue out at him haha! Funniest thing EVER! :)

I love my Miss Harps!! She is such a fun little girl and keep me on my toes :)

She loves playing at the park!

...And observing other kids lol

HI!!

YEA :D

Update on Kinsey Beans

I dont even know where to begin with Kinsey.. She has grown up so dang fast and is now a sassy, drama, fun, loving, talkative girl! I always say she is 3 going on 13 because she really does have the attitude of a teenager already.  The other day we were outside and some of our neighbors and I were sitting on our front lawn and Kinsey was walking up and down the sidewalk with her hands on her hips and shaking her butt! I KNOW for a fact that I am in huge trouble lol  At her 3 year old well child check everything looked really well!  She got dressed into a little hospital gown and looked so cute haha!
Here are her stats from that appointment:
Weight: 27.8lbs 18th percentile
Height: 35.5in 14th percentile

So she is still our little petite "beans" :)

*Kinsey loves being a big sister and often thinks she is Harper's mom.  I frequently have to remind her that I am her mommy lol
*This girl has an ATTITUDE!!... She knows what she wants and will go to any extreme to get it.  Kinsey has also learned that if I say "no",to go to daddy.. and sometimes Brandon and I have mis communication and she gets away with it lol
*Kinsey LOVES to snuggle.  We have gotten into the habit of snuggling with her every night in bed while she falls asleep.  I used to think I was a bad habit, but now I enjoy it so much that I could care less :) She will even tickle me on my face and hold my neck until she falls asleep! I LOVE IT!
*Her nap schedule is now up in the air and depends on the day.. Sometimes if she takes a nap during the day, she wont go to bed to close to 10 pm, and thats way to late for me ha! So we now just do quiet time in her room where she either watches a movie, reads books, or plays for an hour. Sometimes she falls asleep and other times she comes out of her room and is ready to go!
*She is a mommy's girl! Anytime I sit down, she has to be on my lap, or sit next to me at dinner time, and she wants me to help her whenever I am home.  Harper is the same way, so its often a battle of who gets to sit on my lap or who gets the long hugs haha

I love my Kinsey Beans so much and love being her mommy!  Her attitude and spunk keeps me going and I can see myself everyday in her personality :)

This was Kinsey at her dentist appointment.  She got X-rays and has NO cavities :)

Playing at the park with her sister!

Silly goose :)

WHOA!

Wow I cannot believe how long it has been since my last post.. I guess thats what happens when you have a crazy, fun, and busy life, right?! Well a lot has gone on in the past few months so I will try to get all the details in to the best of my memory :)

First of all, an update on ME! I am doing so so so much better compared to the beginning of the year.  I was having so many issues with my body and finally after 3 doctors and several doctor visits, I found a wonderful doctor specialized in internal medicine.  She got me started on some meds, did a ton of blood work, and asked me about a million and one questions.  Her final diagnosis: ULCERS and CHRONIC STRESS! yeiks! Thats when reality hit me that I needed a lifestyle change, and fast! So since then, I have not had any issues with my stomach, and I am on some anti anxiety medication, and I have incorporated a ton of new techniques to manage my stress.  I feel like a whole new woman and like I am on top of the world! I feel like I can mentally handle whatever life throws my way.  I have always cared and worried about my family and didnt realize I wasnt taking care of myself and letting my health decline.  It may sound selfish, but I now put myself first and take care of my needs before I give up my time to others.  I cannot express how much this has helped me! I am pulled in so many different directions daily between being a mom, wife, daughter, sister, neighbor, friend, family member, etc and now that I put myself first, I can do all of these roles much more efficient.

Some other new things going on in my life is I applied for the DATC nursing program for the first time this February, and unfortunately I did not get in.  I was very upset when I received that letter, but now I realize that this is a perfect time for me to put myself back together and just enjoy a break from school for a little bit.  I retook my CNA test since my licence expired, and I passed that with flying colors and even received a compliment on how well I was prepared! That was an ego boost :) So I the plans for me this summer is to just have fun with my kiddos and maybe get a part time job as a CNA so I can get those points for when I apply again this fall! Wish me luck :)
